About the role

  • Oversee daily administration of the company benefits program and administer additional duties in compensation (50% Compensation, 50% Benefits)
  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments and payroll deductions; resolve issues with benefit vendors
  • Perform routine audits and monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices, payroll deductions and general ledger; analyze variances to the benefits budget
  • Manage the dependent eligibility verification process and assist employees with benefits questions, enrollment and qualified life events
  • Manage the Employee Wellness program and communications; conduct research and prepare management reports for HR programs and wellness challenges
  • Assist with annual open enrollment including preparation and distribution of materials, drafting communications, coordinating employee meetings, configuring and testing enrollment tool
  • Serve as the system benefit administrator for the HRIS including troubleshooting, configuring system processes, implementing new functionalities and system upgrades
  • Partner with leave management vendor; administer Leave of Absence processes including FMLA, ADA, state and local leave laws, short-term medical leave or long-term disability plans
  • Serve as primary contact for worker’s compensation claims and coordinate with vendors
  • Assist with annual 401K nondiscrimination testing and ERISA benefit plan audits
  • Assist Compensation team with yearly bonus and merit processes; manage day-to-day compensation responsibilities for offers and requisition requests
  • Ensure compliance within compensation guidelines, budgets, pay equity, FLSA classifications and track regulatory changes and trends
  • Ensure job descriptions are accurate and organize annual review of Job Descriptions
  • Contribute to strategic planning around market analysis, yearly market range updates and cost analysis
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in Benefits and/or HR Operations
  • 3+ years' experience in Compensation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and welfare plans, life and disability insurance plans, and retirement plans
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential data and maintain employee confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Strong time management skills within a remote work environment
  • Workday HRIS system experience highly desired (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience (preferred)
