Backend Engineer

• Design and build core services and components of a world-class cloud platform to help enterprises develop, monitor and improve their full suite of AI based applications (covering predictive models, LLMs, GenAI models and agentic applications)
• Lead the design and implementation of distributed systems and microservices that compute, persist, and expose new ML + agentic observability metrics (e.g., response relevancy, hallucination scores) from raw trace data
• Design enterprise-grade, scalable data infrastructure, services and APIs to support enterprise scale workloads and meet compliance needs and SLAs
• Spearhead the development of new types of metrics and evaluation capabilities to satisfy evolving customer needs. Take part in conversations with customers around discovery and support
• Define and evolve the operational maturity (reliability, latency, SLOs, observability) of core services, establish best practices and champion improvements to internal CI/CD processes, testing frameworks, error handling, efficiency and resiliency

• Develop a comprehensive security roadmap that addresses current and future threats, including cloud security, application security, and incident response.
• Directly implement half of the roadmap yourself with changes from GitHub Actions to Terraform to Python; while delegating the other half to other engineering teams. Drive execution of the engineering roadmap by personally delivering key features and infrastructure improvements (spanning GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Python), while coordinating and delegating the remaining initiatives to other engineering teams to ensure end-to-end delivery.
• Own our compliance processes end-to-end, including SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, HIPAA (and more)—by defining and updating controls, supplying evidence during audits, etc.
• Prepare for and lead our incident response efforts, including developing and testing incident response plans, and coordinating the response to security incidents; work with other engineers to shift left.

• Drive Strategic Financial Decisions: own the financial strategy and operations that enable rapid, sustainable growth. Partner with the executive team and Board to drive strategic decisions that optimize growth, profitability, and capital allocation helping to ensure MRR/ARR grows quarter-over-quarter, churn stays low, and net revenue retention increases.
• Lead FP&A, Forecasting, and Budgeting: delivering rolling forecasts with low variance versus actuals, aligning budgets across departments, and ensuring capital is allocated efficiently to support strategic initiatives.
• Ensure Accounting Excellence and Compliance: maintaining timely reporting and audit readiness, to support high confidence decision making, maintaining a month-end close on time, achieving zero major audit findings, and ensuring full regulatory compliance, while providing timely and accurate management reporting and Board decks.
• Optimize Operations and Systems: to scale efficiently, extending cash runway, maintaining a burn multiple at or below 1.5x, and implementing scalable processes and controls across the finance organization.
• Lead Fundraising and Investor Relations: crafting credible financial narratives and managing diligence processes for growth equity, private equity, or prospective public investors, enabling successful capital raises and smooth M&A integrations.

What You'll Do: Join a world-class team innovating in the rapidly expanding LLM and ML infrastructure space
Actively engage in customer discovery, taking a hands-on approach to engage in conversations with customers. Deeply understand the challenges they face in observing AI/ML and LLM-based applications
