About the role

  • Report directly to the CEO as a key member of Fibersail’s leadership team and lead the company’s commercial strategy
  • Focus on revenue generation, market expansion, and long-term customer relationships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for revenue generation and market expansion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets
  • Conduct market research and analysis to define Fibersail’s USPs, understand industry trends, and anticipate customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial strategies with product development and delivery
  • Act as the bridge between customer requirements and technical teams, ensuring compelling business cases and clear value propositions
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, business cases, and presentations to secure new business
  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements with clients and partners, ensuring favorable terms
  • Represent Fibersail at events, conferences, and with key partners
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on commercial activities, performance metrics, and outcomes

Requirements

  • 7+ years of senior experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership in the wind industry (owners/operators and/or OEMs)
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field (MBA a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales and strategic partnerships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills with the ability to design and execute commercial strategies
  • High-energy, hands-on leader able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English (other key market languages are a plus)
  • Valid EU work permit required
