About the role

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals
  • Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of problems related to computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals
  • Recommend and implement proactive or automated solutions to resolve recurring system-related issues
  • Monitor and assess system performance, making recommendations for upgrades as needed
  • Provide end-user support via phone, email, and in person to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure appropriate LAN and wireless LAN connectivity across Fender’s systems
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and IT assets
  • Document support activities, helpdesk tickets, and technical resolutions
  • Provision user accounts, permissions, and services within Active Directory, Exchange, VPN, and printing systems
  • Perform basic network and security functions, such as resetting passwords, managing file permissions, and monitoring access
  • Collaborate with approved vendors for hardware, software, and services support
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, or 2+ years equivalent IT support experience
  • A+ and/or MCSE certifications preferred
  • Hands-on desktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting and installation (PC and Mac)
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, Active Directory, Exchange, and TCP/IP networking
  • Experience with handheld terminal scanners, Zebra printers, USB barcode scanners, and network printing is a plus
  • Cisco, Citrix, Raspberry Pi, SAP or other ERP knowledge preferred
  • Ability to build/configure servers from scratch is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Customer-service orientation with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours to support planned outages
  • Ability to adhere to safety procedures, rules, and regulations and to wear personal protective equipment while on the factory floor
