Identify, plan, organize, and develop action plans to optimize both retail and specialty pharmacy services.
Evaluate existing processes, introduce measurable metrics, and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient-focused services.
Actively contribute to the development and implementation of plans to establish new pharmacies at client sites and build foundations for operational excellence.
Assist in analyzing retail and specialty pharmacy operations on-site, streamlining processes, and implementing solutions for improved efficiency.
Create dashboards with quality assurance measures to monitor and ensure pharmacy performance.
Support the development and execution of a comprehensive plan for standing up a pharmacy, considering compliance, efficiency, and strategic goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and resource requirements for pharmacy establishment.
Provide consultative support during pharmacy implementation, covering design, technology selection, and business operations.
Partner with cross-functional teams (architects, contractors, IT professionals, and vendors) to ensure cohesive and successful pharmacy implementation.
Travel domestically up to 20% to perform onsite pharmacy assessments and formulate action plans for optimization.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or a related field is required. In the absence of a diploma, 5+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a specialty pharmacy organization or an accreditation body (such as URAC, ACHC, Joint Commission) is required.
None required, however previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician (or Certified Pharmacy Technician) is a bonus.
Possess extensive knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate a track record of successfully launching and establishing specialty pharmacies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels.
