About the role

  • Outside Sales Representative specializing in Richelieu’s Furniture division (upholstery and case goods)
  • Manage day-to-day sales activities and customer relationships in assigned territory
  • Schedule and hold virtual and face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers
  • Grow territory through new customer acquisition and development of existing relationships
  • Identify and analyze past buying patterns and strategize to become a stronger supplier
  • Provide a state-of-the-art customer service experience as a one-stop shop
  • Continuously stay up to date with Richelieu product offerings, market conditions, and competitive analysis
  • Maintain CRM data and reporting
  • Sales territory is Southern Virginia; candidate must live in territory and travel by car as required

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience is ideal
  • Experience selling to furniture manufacturers or equipment/parts for furniture is a strong plus
  • Candidate must live in sales territory (Southern Virginia)
  • Reliable, independent transportation required (regular automobile travel)
  • Passionate, proactive, coachable, strong work ethic
  • Ability to schedule and manage your own time and deliver on result-producing activities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Developed analytical, planning, organizing, and monitoring skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with CRM; responsible for system information and reporting
