About the role
- Lead the design, development, and testing of multiple complex software applications.
- Collect and analyze data to develop robust IT solutions that deliver advanced data analytics capabilities.
- Develop database architectures to ensure scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
- Design and document database applications, interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, and data partitions.
- Troubleshoot high-complexity issues and debug applications across environments.
- Operate as part of a team, communicate with business stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.
- Organize people and resources to deliver large business or technology projects and take ownership of quality and difficult designs.
- Contribute to and communicate enterprise, technical, project, and operational strategies.
- Build internal partnerships with peers, SMEs, stakeholders, and decision-makers; manage vendor and external partnerships.
- Influence decisions across multiple projects and guide discussions on critical areas of impact.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in the field of data science/engineering.
- 2 years of experience in software development design and development, and relevant domain applications.
- 1 year of experience with Spark on Snowflake or Databricks.
- 2 years of experience with Python and SQL development.
- 2 years of experience in ETL data pipelines.
- 2 years of experience in designing and implementing data modeling solutions using relational, dimensional, or NoSQL databases.
- 2 years of experience in Database architecture testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- 2 years of experience utilizing Big Data file formats (Parquet, Avro, or Delta Lake).
- 1 year of experience utilizing cloud Infrastructure services (AWS, SQS, S3, and GitLab).
- 1 year of experience utilizing agile development tools (JIRA or Confluence repository).
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
