Become subject matter expert on standards, codes, regulations, and internal workflows for attachment of communication facilities on Company poles
Communicate applicable codes, standards and regulations to parties wishing to attach communications assets and provide assistance and training
Work with standards engineering groups to interpret codes according to Company policies and initiate changes when necessary
Work closely with Field Operations to ensure FCC timelines are met for projects requiring changes to distribution assets ("Make Ready")
Provide joint use related training to internal and external groups
Develop new processes and programs to increase efficiencies for overhead and underground communications installations, operations and maintenance
Drive negotiated settlements with third party communication companies regarding contractual agreements, payment for services, FCC requirements, and facility placement
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Valid driver’s license and meet the company’s requirements for driving
Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
Utility knowledge (preferred)
Knowledge of the communications industry (preferred)
Good communication skills (preferred)
Ability to work on varying tasks at the same time (preferred)
