About the role
- Provide nurturing, trauma-informed residential care and crisis intervention for children at Lilac Lodge
- Support the young person's educational and emotional needs and engage them in hobbies and interests
- Deliver therapeutic, person-centred care to help children achieve positive outcomes
- Supervise and deputise in children's home operations and support staff (deputy manager responsibilities)
- Work shift pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off including sleep-ins; rotas given in advance; service operates 365 days a year
- Manage sleep-ins (paid at £60) and pick up overtime at enhanced rates when available
- Collaborate with education provision to provide personalised education plans
- Promote equal opportunities and challenge discriminatory behaviour
Requirements
- A minimum 12 months supervisory experience in a children's residential care home
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- A full driving licence issued in the UK
- Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
- Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above
- Successful employment is subject to satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks
