About the role
- Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to employees, managers, and executives across the Americas.
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, and capability development in alignment with business goals.
- Provide guidance and decision support on employee relations, change management and complex people situations.
- Act as a sounding board for managers, helping them make decisions that balance business needs with employee well-being.
- Lead the quarterly performance review process across the Americas region.
- Coach managers on giving feedback, addressing performance issues, and developing their teams.
- Partner with the global People team on initiatives such as career paths, internal mobility, and leadership development.
- Partner with HR Operations team to ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience.
- Support managers in handling employee transitions, from communication to transition planning.
- Analyze engagement and satisfaction survey results and work with leaders to implement action plans.
- Facilitate recognition programs and local initiatives that drive motivation and retention.
- Support the Annual Compensation Review process.
- Advise managers on salary adjustments, promotions, and incentive structures.
- Partner with Operations on local HR topics such as benefits audits and compensation benchmarks
- Support legal or structural projects such as entity mergers or compliance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to employment legislation across all countries in scope HR system updates, and policy changes.
- Support HR process improvements, including automation, reporting, and analytics.
- Partner with leaders to evaluate international assignments and relocation requests.
- Oversee immigration and international mobility cases, including budgeting and coordination.
- Act as a regional liaison for global programs (e.g., employee engagement, diversity & inclusion initiatives).
- Support global rollouts, ensuring they are adapted appropriately for local context.
- Participate in cross-regional benchmarking and best practice sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, HR, Business, etc
- 5 to 8 years of experience as an HR/People Business Partner in a global and fast-growing organization.
- Solid understanding of HR practices across the Americas, including employment law, performance management, and organizational development
- Strong analytical skills: able to work with HR data, reports, and metrics to support decisions and recommend solutions.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution of HR programs.
- Strong internal customer service mindset: able to support employees, managers, and executives effectively and responsively.
- Able to navigate different cultures and time zones; comfortable working in a multinational environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to coach managers and handle sensitive situations with tact.
- Solution-oriented and proactive: identifies issues early and drives practical actions.
- Collaborative mindset: works effectively with global HR teams, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
- French, Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.
