About the role

  • Manage all aspects of projects from initial development phase through procurement, construction to handover to operations.
  • Ensure teams work effectively and communication across teams is effective; create progress reports and report to all levels including the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met; support production of programmes, budgets, quality plans and strategy/execution documents.
  • Seek to improve project cost, performance, and programme through optimisation.
  • Work with the O&M team to ensure seamless transfer to Operations on completion.
  • Identify, implement and manage project resources including personnel, equipment, and materials; coordinate programmes and manage resource conflicts.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are met and drive quality programmes and procedures.
  • Work with the commercial team to understand contracts and ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Implement and control risk management systems; identify, quantify, communicate and mitigate risks.
  • Provide input into business plans and maintain understanding of commercial drivers.
  • Collaborate with the wider EPUKI group to deliver innovative technical and commercial solutions.
  • Significant travel to project locations required; full time site attendance during construction phases.

Requirements

  • Able to demonstrate comprehensive expertise in engineering, operations, and maintenance management.
  • Extensive understanding of contract management and commercial operations.
  • Previous experience in a project focused role, ideally within a power station or similar large scale infrastructure.
  • Experience in managing development projects (desirable).
  • Background in construction management (desirable).
  • Proven track record in establishing and promoting a proactive approach to Health, Safety, and Environmental management (essential).
  • Experienced in leading and managing large teams within a project-driven environment.
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering or related discipline (essential) or equivalent experience.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution (desirable).
  • Project Management qualification (desirable).
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, word processing, and computer-aided design tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel and attend site full-time during construction phases.
