About the role
- Freelance Business Analyst supporting implementation of a new application for a leading Belgian insurance company
- Act as primary liaison between business teams and IT
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Translate complex business needs into clear user stories, process flows, and specifications
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of insurance-related solutions
- Conduct gap analyses, impact assessments, and propose improvements to processes and systems
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders in both Dutch and French
- Support change management and training activities when required
- Collect, structure and formalize internal procedures and write clear, accessible materials
Requirements
- 4-5 years work experience in business analysis
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance or financial services sector
- Strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulatory landscape
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and French (written and spoken)
- English is an asset
- Proficiency with BA tools (BPMN, UML, Jira, Confluence, MS Visio)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements
- Experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) is a plus
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
