Support category sourcing strategies and assist in the development of Emerson’s annual sourcing pipeline
Perform market and supplier research, maintain commodity price tracker and produce impact assessments to support category strategy
Work with the Global Sourcing Team to support procurement project requests and participate in planning and execution of procurement projects across regions
Engage internal customers, assess project requirements, execute project schedules and coordinate RFQs with suppliers
Draft contracts using Emerson templates and create/maintain contract workspaces, manage workflow statuses and support amendments
Track category key performance indicators and baseline; monitor procurement metrics and support category strategy through data gathering and analysis
Assist with supplier performance management and prepare for Bi-Annual Business Reviews with marquee and preferred suppliers
Participate in and present to Regional and Global teams, business units and project team participants across all world areas and time zones
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual ad-hoc reports as requested by Regional and Global Category Managers
Requirements
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in supply chain or procurement
Commodity or category management experience in a procurement role is an advantage
Demonstrate competency in working and excelling in a team environment including the ability to interact across all levels of management within the organization
Ability to work on multiple programs and customers
Working knowledge of Ariba or Oracle procurement/sourcing applications
General experience or exposure to business data and/or business intelligence systems used for reporting purposes such as transportation management systems, supply chain or other indirect and information systems (ERP, automated manifesting, compliance documents etc.)
Good analytical skills and ability to review and provide interpretive analysis using a variety of data sets and to develop robust analytical models and frameworks used to set or evaluate supplier/category pricing models
Good project management skills including analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Beeline (nice to have) and Word, as well as PowerBi
Fluent English is Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field
Additional certifications or advanced education will be taken into consideration when determining salary
