About the role
- Identify circuit board and/or component solutions to meet design performance requirements and quality expectations
- Work closely with design engineers and suppliers to ensure requirements are understood and supplier processes are capable of producing product at the desired production rate and cost
- Act as an internal technology expert on designated processes and commodities supporting Emerson global technology strategies and communicate technical product roadmaps
- Build suppliers’ understanding of our technical and performance requirements
- Develop and maintain consistent electrical quality management processes between all Emerson global factories
- Influence design engineers to optimize for Design for Sourcing and manufacturability in New Product Development
- Lead evaluation and approval of new suppliers and parts through Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and actively resolve supplier-related issues and non-conformances
- Drive programs crafted to reduce total cost while maintaining quality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
- 0-2 years of applicable experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
- ABET accredited engineering degree (preferred)
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Experience with Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and supplier evaluation (preferred)
