About the role
- Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
- Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues
- Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers
- Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
- Lead adherence to Ford standards (i.e.Q1)
- Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites
- Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP)
- Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality
- Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
- Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science/ Engineering, or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
- 4+ years’ experience in wiring, gained from design or manufacturing environments
- Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
- Ability to travel in the US, Canada, Central America and Mexico approximately 80% of the time
- Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines (preferred)
- Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified (preferred)
- Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience (preferred)
- Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice (preferred)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)
