About the role

  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues
  • Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers
  • Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
  • Lead adherence to Ford standards (i.e.Q1)
  • Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites
  • Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP)
  • Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality
  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
  • Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/ Engineering, or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
  • 4+ years’ experience in wiring, gained from design or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
  • Ability to travel in the US, Canada, Central America and Mexico approximately 80% of the time
  • Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines (preferred)
  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified (preferred)
  • Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience (preferred)
  • Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice (preferred)
