About the role

  • Accountable for the direction, coordination, and growth of all utility market sales through direct customer contact and coordination with local ProTools Territory Managers
  • Provide coaching and direction to regional Territory Managers in a matrix-managed environment
  • Perform field product demonstrations, training, and technical support with end-users and distribution channel partners
  • Drive strategic new product sales and solutions to expand markets and share
  • Develop, present, and drive annual business plans to deliver incremental sales growth
  • Develop and manage monthly/yearly sales forecasts
  • Develop and own relationships with Key Distributor Partners and End Users
  • Serve as subject matter expert for product, applications, and pricing for the market
  • Support regional and national organizations through training and special project execution
  • Coordinate with local Professional Tool Specialists (PTS) and Territory Sales Manager; report to Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast Region

Requirements

  • Must have existing professional relationships and technical skills in the electrical utility market
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or other relevant fields OR minimum of five years relevant experience instead of a bachelor's Degree
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a matrix-managed environment, including coaching, mentoring, and providing selling support to Territory Managers
  • Solid business acumen, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated success in formulating, presenting, executing, & measuring Business Plans
  • Proven track record of achieving goals and sales targets in the Electrical Utility market (preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint; CRM application experience a plus (preferred)
  • Five years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support of B2B Sales in the Electrical Utility Market preferred
  • Experience with distribution channels, with emphasis on Electrical, industrial, and plumbing
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employer will not provide sponsorship
