Collaborate with a team of Turbine Controls engineers to design and implement control strategies for steam turbines from various manufacturers
Serve as the technical lead for the turbine governor scope on multidisciplinary projects
Develop control narratives based on governor logic
Create detailed commissioning plans to guide field personnel through steam turbine start-up procedures
Lead Factory Acceptance Tests with end users to demonstrate and validate governor functionality
Coordinate with other engineering teams to deliver integrated, customer-focused solutions
Provide technical support to Field Service teams to ensure successful turbine commissioning
Interpret control logic from multiple turbine control vendors and integrate optimized strategies within Ovation control systems
Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, fabrication drawings, and mechanical blueprints
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
No less than 2 years of professional experience in process control programming, with experience using Ovation control logic or another major process control platform such as Siemens, GE, Rockwell, ABB, Honeywell
Strong capacity to learn quickly by observing and collaborating with experienced engineers
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel up to 25% to support projects
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred: 5+ years of experience with controls and automation, preferably with steam turbines
Preferred: Experience with process control systems in the context of power generation
Preferred: Prior experience in roles involving responsibility for steam turbine control logic, whether in operations, design, or development
