About the role

  • Develop and execute creative, winning strategies and account plans that consistently deliver exceptional (double-digit) account growth while serving as the technical point of contact for clients.
  • Consult with customer engineers, managers, and program leads to understand and address and design their technical and business requirements with the best NI products and services that meet their needs.
  • Manage and close sales opportunities discovered through account initiatives that drive collaboration with partners and internal NI resources.
  • Manage and resolve technical issues for assigned accounts and provide technical advice and training to clients.
  • Network and discover within assigned accounts to engage with new groups, create and sustain valued relationships with customer leadership, and identify new qualified sales opportunities.
  • Drive personal and account team growth by aligning customer requirements with NI’s strengths, creating compelling visions that motivate action among internal and external decision-makers to support customers’ strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with the customer support team to address customer inquiries and concerns along with assisting in contract renewal and negotiation processes.
  • Telecommuting permitted one day per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in business-to-business high tech sales OR a test engineering occupation.
  • 3 years of experience working in a test and measurement company.
  • 3 years of experience in account management in the semiconductor and electronics industry.
  • 3 years of experience working with LabVIEW, TestStand, DAQ, and PXI.
  • 3 years of experience working with Wireless/Communications applications.
