About the role
- Lead outreach and engagement with corporate sustainability and procurement teams
- Build strong commercial relationships and generate demand for high-integrity jurisdictional REDD+ credits
- Manage full sales cycle from pipeline development to deal closure
- Lead development and implementation of Emergent’s comprehensive sales strategy
- Play a visible role in expanding Emergent’s presence amongst corporate buyers
- Manage a small team of sales professionals
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the firm to clients
- Address client concerns with clarity, empathy, and a solutions-oriented mindset
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in B2B sales
- 3-5 years focused on sustainability, carbon markets, or nature-based and decarbonization strategies
- Well-established network among corporate climate action professionals
- Strong knowledge of carbon markets and nature-based solutions
- Familiarity with standards and policies in both voluntary market and compliance markets
- Experience managing a small team and working cross-functionally in fast-paced organizations
- Polished, organized communication skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
- Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Portuguese, German) are an asset
