About the role
- Assist in development and execution of Quality Plans and component-specific inspection plans for repair and overhaul lifecycle.
- Draft, review, and assemble Quality Assurance Manufacturing Data Records (QA MDRs) and maintain comprehensive quality documentation.
- Develop and implement Quality Control Work Instructions (WCIs) for workshop processes and inspections.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections and testing including incoming, in-process, final, and supplier site inspections.
- Serve as primary Quality support during Inspection Tests (ITs) and customer witness points, ensuring procedures are followed and documented.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment and record all inspection/test data for traceability.
- Issue and review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), support Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and assist in Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) implementation.
- Coordinate quality requirements and documentation with internal departments, suppliers, sub-suppliers, and customers to ensure adherence to specifications.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field is required.
- Some prior experience in a manufacturing, service, or repair environment, preferably within the turbomachinery, oil & gas, or power generation sectors.
- Knowledge of industry standards and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Develop basic professional quality engineering skills and knowledge through continuous learning and practical application on the job.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Italian and English (highly desirable for coordination with local teams and global corporate functions).
