About the role
- Oversee all aspects of assigned projects from initiation to closing
- Supervise and direct project resources to deliver value effectively and consistently to the customer
- Responsible and accountable for strategic alignment and execution of corporate operational processes to drive timely delivery of safely completed project work
- Ensure project compliance with contract documents, schedule, and budget
- Manage assigned projects in accordance with schedule and performance targets
- Effectively manage subcontractor and vendor performance to ensure compliant project delivery
- Manage installation strategies and leverage industry best practices and means and methods
- Promote safety as the number one core value and follow safe work practices
- Promote and foster a culture of employee empowerment and company Core Values
- Operate equipment (scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, UTVs) if required and perform occasional physical tasks
- Travel overnight as required to support project needs
Requirements
- BS in Project Management or Construction Management (Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience managing structured cabling and integrated systems projects
- Experienced in the management of multiple contractual types and vehicles - lump sum, cost plus / GMP, unit price, design-build / design-assist, time, and material
- Certifications preferred: BICSI RCDD, BICSI RTPM, or PMP
- Other BICSI Certifications are a plus (Installer, Technician, etc.)
- Ability to identify change events and implement change management best practices
- Knowledge of various construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards
- Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight as required
- Physical ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and climb ladders to 20 feet
