About the role
- Reporting to the Chief Trading Officer, lead a new Prediction Markets vertical and combine hands-on trading with team leadership, strategic oversight and cross-functional collaboration.
- Define and execute trading strategies across major event categories (crypto, politics, culture, economics, weather etc).
- Manage, mentor and upskill a small team of traders, establishing trading protocols, exposure limits and escalation frameworks for high-volatility events.
- Continuously evaluate portfolio risk and exposure across all markets, delivering reports to key stakeholders on significant positions.
- Benchmark against competitors and drive key changes to stay on top of competition and create innovative product ideas.
- Keep up to date on trends in predictions trading and partner with product/technical teams to improve forecasting models and oversee AI model development.
- Deploy tools to scan and synthesize real-time news, social media and alternative relevant data sources.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in trading, with exceptional proficiency in odds compilation. Experience in prediction trading is considered highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and oversee a live trading desk.
- Comfort with ambiguity and pricing high-uncertainty events.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
- Strong communicator; an ability to detail market views for internal stakeholders.
