• Evaluates requirements, proposes solutions, explores design trades to support a design
• Designs algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques
• Develops embedded software based on prototype algorithms
• Analyzes designs to demonstrate performance and functionality
• Develops and executes software tests to check compliance with requirements
• Communicates with customers and stakeholders to establish requirements and describe the design and deliverables
• Preparation of technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required documentation

Principal Guidance & Control Engineer

• help develop, integrate, and deploy advanced perception systems enabling autonomous vehicles and robots
• work side-by-side with Draper engineers to develop and implement state of the art solutions
• algorithm development, test support, data analysis, and software development for autonomous systems
• capable of contributing to and integrating state-of-the-art algorithms
• analyzing data from simulation and field tests
• effectively working within multi-disciplinary teams
