About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborates with internal and external customers as the business partner of choice to ensure financial acumen, accuracy, and dedicated support to execute contracts for national defense
- Provides timely and accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value or related processes
- Supports all baseline development activities and development of charge numbers and WBS as applicable
- Provides updates/changes as required for programs in applicable tools (ERP or Cobra)
- Provides analysis and reports on performance variances to budget and assist with recovery plans as needed
- Analyzes and reports risks & Opportunities to the baseline cost, schedule, and the EAC
- Ensures timely maintenance of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers)
- Provides timely completion of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, processing time-phased estimate to complete updates
- Develops and Monitors the program level time-phased plan to support an overall program level view of revenue for forecast, budget, and 5-year planning processes
- Provides financial data inputs, analysis, and applicable variance narrative for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business -Reviews (QBRs)
- Timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables
- Reviews and communicates the status of program financials, including status on funding and disposition of funding that is subject to cancellation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Able to use EVMS principles in daily operations
- Knowledge of program financial controls with DoD programs
- Knowledge of relevant federal acquisition regulations and standards such as CAS/FAR/DFARS
- Knowledge of different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M)
- Knowledge of relevant accounting subject matters, including revenue recognition
- Ability to present complex information to all levels of management
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient with Microsoft software applications
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to multi-task and is detail oriented
- Ability to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurate
- Self-starter that is capable of working independently
