About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers as the business partner of choice to ensure financial acumen, accuracy, and dedicated support to execute contracts for national defense
  • Provides timely and accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value or related processes
  • Supports all baseline development activities and development of charge numbers and WBS as applicable
  • Provides updates/changes as required for programs in applicable tools (ERP or Cobra)
  • Provides analysis and reports on performance variances to budget and assist with recovery plans as needed
  • Analyzes and reports risks & Opportunities to the baseline cost, schedule, and the EAC
  • Ensures timely maintenance of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers)
  • Provides timely completion of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, processing time-phased estimate to complete updates
  • Develops and Monitors the program level time-phased plan to support an overall program level view of revenue for forecast, budget, and 5-year planning processes
  • Provides financial data inputs, analysis, and applicable variance narrative for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business -Reviews (QBRs)
  • Timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables
  • Reviews and communicates the status of program financials, including status on funding and disposition of funding that is subject to cancellation
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Able to use EVMS principles in daily operations
  • Knowledge of program financial controls with DoD programs
  • Knowledge of relevant federal acquisition regulations and standards such as CAS/FAR/DFARS
  • Knowledge of different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M)
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting subject matters, including revenue recognition
  • Ability to present complex information to all levels of management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient with Microsoft software applications
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multi-task and is detail oriented
  • Ability to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurate
  • Self-starter that is capable of working independently
