About the role

  • Serve as in-store expert and Lead for the apparel department, delivering best customer service and providing direction to teammates.
  • Support building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Build a people-first culture by connecting with teammates to build mutual trust, respect, and store recognition.
  • Plan, organize, and control 30-days out with guidance from Assistant Store Manager, including workforce planning for daily assignments, game plans, projects, or events.
  • Strategically leverage teammates to meet brand standards, execute programs and processes, and delegate tasks by priority.
  • Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards: floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
  • Assist store leadership with general supervision and training, including onboarding and cross-training teammates.
  • Prioritize coaching and development; provide hands-on coaching and teach the “why” behind tasks and processes.
  • Lead by example to support store vision and align teammate responsibilities to organizational goals.
  • Create an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for teammates and customers.
  • Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality and perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays.
  • Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
