About the role

  • Deel is the all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams, supporting workers in 150+ countries
  • Work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success as a Forward-Deployed Integration Engineer
  • Collaborate directly with strategic customers to understand technical needs and design solutions
  • Design and implement tailored technical solutions using Deel's and partner Accounting/HCM APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure
  • Represent Deel to clients and clients to Deel; be technical and collaborative while writing production-ready code
  • Contribute to product planning by feeding customer use cases into the roadmap
  • Build and enhance product features, debug issues, and improve reliability at "Deel speed"
  • Provide exceptional technical support during onboarding, implementation, and post-sale expansion
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor helping enterprise customers unlock the full power of Deel

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders and external clients
  • Experience delivering client-facing solutions, whether in implementation, consulting, or embedded technical roles
  • 10+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer, ideally in SaaS or B2B platforms
  • Fluency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, with deep understanding of software engineering best practices
  • Strong SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL — including query optimization, migrations, and modeling
  • Hands-on API development experience, validation, and performance tuning
  • Ability to blend hands-on engineering with solving real customer problems
  • Thrive in ambiguous environments and take ownership from idea to delivery
  • Clear communication across functions and with clients, translating between technical and business needs
  • Bonus: Experience in fintech, HR tech, or SaaS; experience deploying solutions in customer environments (custom scripts, middlewares, internal APIs)
