About the role

  • Work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success; represent Deel to clients and clients to Deel
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives
  • Design and implement tailored technical solutions using Deel's and partner Accounting and HCMs' APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure
  • Build and enhance product features, debug issues, and improve reliability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Backend/Frontend Engineers to deliver customer-specific and scalable product improvements
  • Contribute real-world customer use cases back into product planning and the roadmap
  • Provide technical support during onboarding, implementation, and post-sale expansion
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, helping them unlock the full power of Deel

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders and external clients
  • Experience delivering client-facing solutions, whether in implementation, consulting, or embedded technical roles
  • 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer, ideally in SaaS or B2B platforms
  • Fluency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, with deep understanding of software engineering best practices
  • Strong SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL — including query optimization, migrations, and modeling
  • Hands-on API development experience, validation, and performance tuning
  • Ability to engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and business objectives
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Backend/Frontend Engineers
  • Bonus: Experience in fintech, HR tech, or SaaS
  • Bonus: Experience deploying solutions in customer environments (e.g., custom scripts, middlewares, internal APIs)
