About the role
- Support trading desk and sales team with MBS analytics and market support
- Provide hands on exposure to mortgage trading and research and deliver market commentary
- Run daily spread and regression analysis across MBS and related products
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on OAS, nominal spreads, issuance and market float
- Conduct analysis of servicer performance, prepayment trends and loan level data
- Assist with building presentations, pitchbooks and customized client materials
- Track and summarize regulatory and GSE policy changes impacting MBS markets
- Provide analytics and support for client requests
- Serve as backup to sales and trading
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics or related field
- Series 7 & 63
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in fixed income or structured products
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Bloomberg or similar platforms a plus
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment
