About the role

  • Intercompany Business Development Manager drives sales growth across Buckhead | Newport USBL Sysco operating sites within BH | NP Atlantic region (approx. 200M territory).
  • Focus on onsite training, strategic coaching, and performance management of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Premium Protein Specialists (PPS).
  • Draft and execute sales growth strategies in alignment with local and regional leadership teams, ensuring implementation of GSC objectives.
  • Shape the annual profit plan with strategic insights to optimize revenue, margins, and market performance.
  • Foster education, collaboration, and influential relationships with Regional Leadership Teams, BH | NP leadership teams, category managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent BH | NP at approved trade venues through booth appearances, product sampling, demonstrations, and customer engagement.
  • Travel as required to market sites; in-market coaching and support to drive growth

Requirements

  • Education: Required: HS Diploma; Preferred: BS or BA Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture/Animal Science, or related studies
  • Experience: Preferred: 2-5 years prior foodservice sales experience, specialty meat experience a plus
  • Skills: Valid driver's license; Advanced computer skills; Customer centric and internet savvy; Bilingual Spanish preferred; Superior time-management and project management skills; Knowledge of marketing principles, product lines, ordering procedures and credit terms; Familiarization with customer service activities; Interdepartmental communications, general finance concepts; Ability to manage end-to-end initiatives through challenging deadlines; Ability to sell, multi-task and problem solve
  • Travel: 25% travel is required
  • Physical Demands: Lifts up to 75 pounds occasionally; Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and telephone to talk and hear; Frequent need to sit and reach with hands and arms; Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
