About the role
- Support CVS Health’s financial integrity through support of the Commercial Health Plan pharmacy business
- Develop and evaluate formulary strategy and perform complex studies to support pharmacy rating methodology, product analysis, and analysis of legislative impacts
- Develop reporting to track emerging trends and identify actionable insights
- Evaluate Commercial formulary strategy by assessing impact of changes in drug tier and utilization management techniques to utilization, rebates, and Gross costs
- Assess financial impact of potential product solutions and changes to formulary coverage per legislation or policy
- Present findings and make recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Design data studies using complex quantitative skills and analytical methodologies
- Set own priorities within pre-established deadlines and complete tasks independently
- Coach more junior colleagues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or have obtained ASA/FSA)
- 3+ years of actuarial experience
- Prior healthcare experience is required
- Strong technical skills; Excel and coding experience
- Actuarial exams passed (or ASA)
- Ability to drive to conclusion multiple projects ranging in complexity and duration
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to perform independent research and develop an internal network to obtain information as needed
