About the role
- Participate in Month and Year End Close Process
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports
- Perform daily and monthly treasury tasks
- Participate in audits and tax preparations
- Process lending specific transactions including application of loan payoffs, commission payments, partner payments, etc.
- Assist Accounting Manager, Controller and Treasurer on ad hoc requests
- Cross - train on other department requirements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Intacct, Concu)
- Experience in the financial services industry
