About the role
- Lead global revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review bookings and contracts
- Ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting across all regions
- Oversee accounting for commissions, including amortization schedules and US GAAP compliance
- Align with global accounting teams for statutory reporting of commissions
- Manage ASC 842 lease accounting globally and support US GAAP compliance
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and implement necessary updates
- Supervise the US accounting team and provide day-to-day guidance
- Prepare, review and approve global journal entries and account reconciliations
- Manage government and tax reporting including direct and indirect taxes
- Assist with implementation of new systems, tools, or automation to scale the accounting function
- Create, update and manage the monthly close checklist and close process for US entities
- Continuously improve the close process to close faster and better
- Design, maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting
- Coordinate and support annual audit with external auditors and prepare annual financial statements and schedules
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue recognition and US GAAP compliance
- Experience in a global organization with multi-entity, multi-currency operations
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and prepaid commission accounting
- Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Prefer experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work across time zones and cultures
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for future sponsorship (E-Verify)
- Located in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States
