About the role
- Review and analyze client information and insurance requirements to determine appropriate coverage options.
- Calculate premium rates, deductibles, and policy limits using various underwriting guidelines, rating systems, and actuarial data.
- Prepare and provide detailed insurance quotes to sales agents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines.
- Collaborate with insurance sales agents, underwriters, and other insurance professionals to address any requests or questions related to quotes and coverage.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and competitive quoting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new quoting tools, processes, and strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and report any bugs or irregularities encountered while using the internal quoting system, collaborating with the engineer team to ensure timely resolution and optimal system performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to both internal and external clients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Previous experience in insurance quoting, underwriting, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including agility in learning new tools and workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and clients.
- Proficiency in using computers and various software applications, including Microsoft Office suite and insurance rating systems.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
