About the role
- Lead the sales and retention team and attain sales quotas for respective Business Units
- Drive and champion the vision, mission and strategy of their market(s) to align with BU revenue goals and Retail Solutions Sales goals
- Strategic planning, direct and indirect sales execution and sales strategy
- Partner with cross functional business teams to ensure sales embraces pragmatic analytic solutions and client-centric options
- Build a team environment with strong morale, provide development opportunities, coach direct reports, and foster open communication
- Establish mission critical policies and procedures and foster a positive business climate
- Collaborate with leadership to develop overall strategy for assigned products and markets
- Contribute to pricing/packaging, product, customer service, marketing, sales channels, and OEM/electrification strategy
- Capture Voice of the Customer and provide perspective on electrification of the industry
- Develop and apply thorough knowledge of industry and competitive activity and translate into plans and programs
- Budget and forecast sales goals, identify resource utilization, and manage divisional expense budget
- Define business requirements for operational infrastructure and deliver business and financial metric reporting
- Lead hiring, training and development of teams, design client-facing content, SMEs, and repeatable programs
- Establish success metrics, evaluate performance, and propose policies to achieve maximum sales potential
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required + 12 or more years of relevant work experience with at least 7 years experience in a leadership role. OR MS degree + 10 years of experience OR Ph.D. + 7 years of experience OR 16 + years of experience with no degree
- 10+ years’ experience building and managing sales teams
- 2+ years of EV, Engineering or highly technical sales or client engagement preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated business understanding and working knowledge of best practices
- Strategic thinker with passion for the customer and an ability to think creatively and analytically
- Previous experience working in a matrixed account management structure
- Experience managing revenue over $200mm annually
- Experience leading a cross functional, multidiscipline, remote sales team
- Strong executive presence, ability to interface effectively with the C-suite
- Strong knowledge of auto industry required
- Ability to travel up to 50-65% (day and overnight) as needed
