💰 £25,800 - £27,050 per year
About the role
- Gain hands-on experience contributing to two to three projects concurrently, often across different teams
- Prepare medical education slides
- Perform systematic searches of medical literature
- Develop clinical trial manuscripts
- Assimilate clinical and cost-effectiveness evidence to support HTA submissions to NICE
- Work across Medical Communications, Value and Access, and Evidence Development service areas (including Rare Diseases, MedTech, Health Policy)
- Receive one-to-one training on technical aspects, project management, and client communication
- Hybrid work: office-based with ability to work from home one day per week
- Possibility to extend internship or apply for permanent Analyst/Medical Writer roles based on performance
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree level qualification in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1 or expected 2.1)
- Postgraduate qualifications advantageous but not required
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate scientific material clearly in written and oral form for a variety of audiences
- Strong organisational skills and ability to plan work effectively
- Proactive approach to task prioritisation and time management
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong self-motivation, self-awareness and willingness to learn
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Genuine interest in healthcare and eagerness to learn new areas of science
- Open to under-graduates, post-graduates, career changers, and current students able to complete full-time internships outside term time
- Right to work in the UK required (role does not meet eligibility for visa sponsorship)
