About the role
- Work under the supervision of Project Architects to prepare Revit and AutoCAD drawings in line with company standards
- Set up drawings according to company standards for title blocks, layers, fonts, and line weights
- Prepare conceptual site plans, aerial overlays, building plans, maps, and exhibits
- Prepare preliminary and final construction documents
- Update drawings in response to design modifications, redlines, and comments
- Assemble plan sets for submission to agencies in PDF and Hard Copy
- Conduct spell checking / cross-referencing / quality control / revision tracking
- Collaborate with a team of architectural designers, project managers, and project architects
Requirements
- 1 year of on the job experience is required but 2+ years of experience is preferred working with an A/E design firm preparing Preliminary Design and Construction Documents
- Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD drafting software with an emphasis on Revit
- Photoshop, SketchUp, Illustrator, and AutoTURN experience a plus
- Strong working knowledge of all forms of MS office software
- Candidates that aspire to become licensed architects are a plus
- The ability to work independently, follow instructions, balance a diverse workload, and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills
