About the role

  • Remote sales role for Continental's BA Industrial Solutions Americas, Southeastern Region; reside within territory and within one hour of a major airport\n
  • 50% travel with overnight stays; focus on sales growth, margin, and customer acquisition\n
  • Develop and execute distribution strategy; manage contracts and commercial negotiations\n
  • Build strategic customer relationships; provide market trends, forecast feedback, and product recommendations\n
  • Support regional leadership, deliver technical application design and customer training\n
  • Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years hydraulic hose sales; eligible to work in the U.S.; travel at least 50%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a technical discipline or minimum 10 years or more if no relevant bachelor’s degree.\n
  • 5 years of hydraulic hose sales experience.\n
  • Experience converting a major customer's business from a competitor and developing, presenting, gaining approval, and executing on major business cases.\n
  • Sales and Customer Relationship management and development\n
  • Presentation skills including working knowledge of PowerPoint.\n
  • Strong negotiation skills.\n
  • Financial acumen including the ability to manage sales, margin, cost and working capital and to read and prepare business cases.\n
  • Strong communication skills.\n
  • Emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.\n
  • Market and knowledge of diverse industrial markets.\n
  • Experience with business planning and forecasting.\n
  • Experience executing along the sales cycle to hunt and close new customers and new business.\n
  • Ability to translate applications and opportunities into business cases for evaluation.\n
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.\n
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.\n
