About the role
- Establish and champion the user-centered design vision for Concord.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing UX & Design team; set goals and conduct performance reviews.
- Manage team resources, allocate projects effectively, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive UX strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the entire design process from user research and ideation to prototyping and testing.
- Define and maintain design standards and guidelines; ensure quality and consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management) to integrate design into the development process.
- Plan and conduct user research studies and analyze user data to inform design decisions.
- Ensure visual design and branding consistency; collaborate with marketing as needed.
- Lead client meetings and presentations; build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Accurately plan team work with project managers, assist in creating/reviewing SOWs, and help manage time against budgets.
- Serve as SME for UX & Design-related sales pursuits and contribute to marketing and sales activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in UX design.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading and managing a UX & Design team.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Expertise in user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Experience in the consulting or agency industry is a plus.
- Portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of UX principles and design execution.
- Must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Willingness to travel to visit the HQ, clients, or events.
