About the role
- Greet patients upon arrival and set a positive tone for the office.
- Obtain insurance information, review for accuracy, and route to appropriate staff.
- Hand out paperwork to patients according to their needs and review returned paperwork for accuracy.
- Change and update patient(s) status in the computer according to established guidelines.
- Verify insurance and frequencies when needed.
- Assist with attaching payments, sending claims, and checking billable x-rays.
- Clean and maintain front office area/lobby.
- Act as the bridge between the front and back of the office, supporting patients, staff, and doctors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Dental Experience is Required.
- Bilingual (position title indicates bilingual requirement).
- Customer Service Skills – must be able to provide excellent patient service to ensure their dental needs are being met.
- Multi-Tasker – ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently.
- Communication – must be able to communicate effectively with the clinical team, patient, responsible parties, and other staff as necessary.
- Team Mindset – the ability to work within a team for the good of the patient.
- Positive Problem Solver – ability to think on your feet and find solutions to a variety of unique issues.
- Availability to work Monday-Saturday.
