About the role
- Serve as the first line of customer service and greeter for patients and visitors
- Greet patients upon arrival and set a positive tone
- Obtain insurance information, review for accuracy, and route to appropriate staff
- Distribute and review paperwork, handle routine questions, and verify accuracy when returned
- Change and update patient status in computer according to established guidelines
- Verify insurance and frequencies when needed
- Assist with attaching payments, sending claims, and checking billable x-rays
- Clean and maintain front office area/lobby
- Provide support to patients, staff, and doctors; bridge front and back office
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Dental Experience is Required
- Bilingual (position title indicates bilingual requirement)
- Customer Service Skills – must be able to provide excellent patient service
- Multi-Tasker – ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently
- Communication – must be able to communicate effectively with clinical team, patients, responsible parties, and staff
- Team Mindset – ability to work within a team for the good of the patient
- Positive Problem Solver – ability to think on your feet and find solutions
- Availability to work Monday-Saturday (schedule stated)
