About the role
- Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare reconciliations and financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Facilitate the company’s annual audit by coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Partner with Business Operations to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
- Support company financial operations and maintain financial transparency
Requirements
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Experience working with GAAP compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience working in Quickbooks, Excel, and Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
- CPA license (nice to have)
- Experience in accounting for power trading or commodities businesses (nice to have)
- Experience in start-up finance and accounting processes (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Python and SQL for data analysis and reporting (nice to have)
