About the role
- Solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems bridging web-scale applications and blockchain technology
- Build next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible globally operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates
- Help build infrastructure running securely in the cloud
- Partner with Head of Growth Engineering, EMs, and Product Managers to improve incentives infrastructure, primitives and scale up spend/profitability with high reliability
- Build foundational systems and primitives to drive growth across Coinbase
Requirements
- Passionate about mission and blockchain technology
- Ability to run towards solving company's hardest problems
- Ability to drive multi-quarter roadmaps with complex dependencies
- Strong track record of horizontal technical leadership across larger team or multiple small teams
- Ability to drive quality and performance across complex systems at scale and understand metrics and SLOs
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills (nice to have)
- Experience in consumer or growth-focused engineering (nice to have)
- Experience working with ML directly or via APIs (nice to have)
