About the role

  • Today’s world faces increasing security challenges. Threat actors are everywhere – often invisible, virtual, and highly sophisticated.
  • Cognyte seeks a Sales Director to lead U.S. sales for Digital Risk Protection Services (DRPS) and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
  • Role manages a team of 2–3 Account Executives and drives growth across DRPS and CTI.
  • Requires deep experience in cyber solution selling, hunter mentality, and leadership to scale a sales team.
  • Responsibilities include GTM strategy, sales process optimization, coaching, and pipeline management.
  • Team management, KPI setting, and performance improvement.
  • Revenue growth targets, identifying new enterprise opportunities in verticals like financial, retail, healthcare, government.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, CS to refine messaging and support pipeline.
  • Engage with key customers as executive sponsor; understand client needs and position solutions.
  • Cross-functional alignment with GM and Product; coordinate direct and channel sales.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity sales, with at least 2 years in a sales leadership or director role.
  • Proven success in building and scaling sales teams within mid-size or high-growth B2B tech companies.
  • Experience selling cyber threat intelligence, DRP/DRPS, threat detection, or SaaS-based security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. cybersecurity market and enterprise buying centers.
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or other similar tools.
