Utilize established best practices to understand business objectives and establish and manage scope, schedule, budget, change management, risk mitigation, project governance, and safety requirements
Utilize risk management and procurement strategies tailored to project timing and complexity to engage external resources or materials
Develop comprehensive Request For Expenditure (RFE) including capital budget, business case, and feasibility with project sponsor and operating business unit
Support annual corporate budget planning by providing preliminary budget estimates and resource forecasting
Oversee completion of conceptual or detailed designs, technical investigations, assessments, inspections, and monitor and control construction activities
Provide contract administration and contract management services
Monitor and control the project budget by reviewing and approving expenses, maintaining accurate estimate to completion forecast, and reconciling and closing the RFE upon project completion
Annual travel up to 20% may be required
Work closely with engineering technology and design team, real estate team, health and safety team, and operating/supporting business units to lead or support stakeholders through the full project life cycle
Requirements
6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience in commercial construction project management
Have a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
A strong understanding of all stages of the construction project lifecycle and commercial construction industry
Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs
PMP designation considered a valuable asset
Annual travel up to 20% may be required
May be required to complete a substance test, a criminal record check and a drivers abstract in accordance with FCL policies
Preference for candidates located in Regina, SK (location will be determined by successful candidate)
