About the role
- Develop project plans and timelines including definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Determine and define project roles and responsibilities including management of project team members and motivate them to meet objectives.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders including facilitation communication between project stakeholders and team members.
- Regularly report project progress to management and clients.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Identify, analyze, and manage project risks development risk mitigation strategies.
- Track project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Perform change management and ensure changes are well documented.
- Build strong, long-term relationships throughout the RBC organization.
- Constantly seek to improve own capacity, skills and expertise.
Requirements
- 4-6 yrs of Project Management Experience
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team
- Ability to prioritize, plan and execute work to meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills - Ability to identify issues and suggest solutions
- Good working knowledge of Capital Markets organizational structure (front office sales and trading, middle office, product control, BCS, regulatory/compliance, etc.) and its operational functions and processes.
- Capable of building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across the enterprise
- Provide concise and effective updates to the Associate Director and Director, Portfolio Change Management, as well as to the Program Manager where applicable
- Skillful in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project)
- JIRA, Confluence
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Preferred skills: Strong knowledge of supporting systems used within Operations
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Agile Certified Practitioner
