About the role
- Manage a team of technical writers, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality output
- Train and develop level 1 writers to advance to next level
- Develop and enforce documentation standards and processes
- Align documentation strategy with overall product and business goals
- Oversee the planning and execution of documentation projects
- Collaborate with product leadership to ensure documentation supports product success
- Lead pubs team meetings and 1-1s with employee writers
Requirements
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Ability to define and implement documentation standards and best practices
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Expertise in technical writing and knowledge-sharing strategies
- MadCap Flare & Git, or equivalent experience in complex authoring tools and workflows (XML, DITA, etc)
- Interest and experience in other tooling such as analytics, style enforcement tools, AI analysis and revision and RAG
