About the role

  • We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Email Marketing Manager. In this role, you will take full ownership of our email marketing program and customer retention campaigns, driving engagement and ROI through expertly managed lists, high-performing automation, and data-driven optimisation.
  • Build and manage sophisticated campaign automations and customer journeys within Customer.io.
  • Take full ownership of email list health, segmentation, and hygiene to ensure maximum deliverability and engagement.
  • Proactively manage technical deliverability, monitor inbox placement, and maintain a strong sender reputation using best practices (DKIM, SPF, DMARC).
  • Continuously split test different copy, creative layouts, and subject lines to improve performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed performance reports and dashboards with a clear focus on core KPIs and campaign ROI.
  • Ensure all email campaigns are compliant with relevant industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).

Requirements

  • 2+ years building automated journeys in Customer.io.
  • A track record of improving email deliverability and open/click rates (portfolio required).
  • Deep technical understanding of inbox placement (authentication, sender reputation).
  • Runs split tests on copy and layouts to drive a clear ROI.
  • Has run email campaigns in restricted or highly regulated verticals.
  • Builds reports that focus only on core KPIs and ROI.
  • Thrives in an environment where deliverability and rules change without warning.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customisation.
  • Familiarity with iGaming, FinTech, or other high-volume B2C industries.
  • Experience working with customer data platforms (CDPs) and integrating them with CRM tools.
