Lead and develop a team of 25-30 technical sales professionals, fostering a collaborative culture and driving achievement of annual client targets.
Provide strategic direction by monitoring market trends, identifying customer needs, and building a strong sales pipeline aligned with regional growth plans.
Act as the subject matter expert for the Canadian region, representing products, solutions, and industries to influence client decisions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align strategy across outreach, marketing, training, and education initiatives.
Implement lead tracking, advanced sales methodologies, and data-driven tools (including Power BI) to improve prospecting, performance tracking, and overall efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with utility partners, trade allies, and industry stakeholders to expand program visibility and participation.
Deliver tailored energy solutions to commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers through a consultative sales approach.
Identify and address barriers to program participation, recommending improvements to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
Develop playbooks and training programs to onboard, coach, and grow team members for sustained success.
Report to the Sr. Director of the Canadian Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Portfolio and shape regional sales strategy.
Requirements
At least 15+ years in business development or technical sales, including 5+ years in leadership.
Strong background in the energy industry and with commercial/industrial customers is an asset.
Technical or engineering degree/background and existing C&I/trade ally network is an asset.
Proven success in customer engagement strategies, campaigns, and trade ally partnerships.
Visionary leader with the ability to create actionable plans and inspire teams.
Skilled collaborator across cross-functional and multi-location teams.
Proficiency in Salesforce CRM (implementation, use, and development).
Implement lead tracking, advanced sales methodologies, and data-driven tools (including Power BI).
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
Ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Willingness to travel within Canada (short trips, up to once/month).
