About the role
- Identify problems, questions, or situations by applying established criteria to directly influence development outcomes
- Use the right technology to solve technical challenges for small-scale features or support larger program efforts
- Support collaboration with software engineers and technical teams to analyze user requirements and business needs
- Assist in development, design, construction, testing and implementation; write secure, stable, testable and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to ensure quality and reliability
- Understand business context and associated customer use cases
- Evaluate system designs and architecture; participate in solution discussions and create application/systems documentation
- Participate in design sessions and provide inputs for design decisions
- Seek guidance from peers and/or manager for items not outlined in procedures
- Provide inputs for building project development schedules and feature prioritization; highlight technical dependencies
- Successfully complete assessment tests or certifications to demonstrate technical expertise
- Assess risk, drive compliance with laws and policies, and escalate/manage control issues with transparency
Requirements
- 5-9 years in an Apps Development role
- Demonstrated execution capabilities
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented
- Experience in running high traffic, distributed, cloud based services
- Experience in affecting large culture change
- Experience leading infrastructure programs
- Skilled at working with third party service providers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s/University degree
- Complete assessment tests or certifications (Pluralsight, Udemy, etc.)
