Support the management and control of data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data.
Prepare and record financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes.
Update the general ledger, record financial transactions, and prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with management reporting requirements.
Perform specialized accounting tasks such as equity compensation, securitization, payroll and investment accounting.
Take responsibility for accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.
Preparation of accounts for assigned process in line with global guidelines and adherence to key controls.
Communicate with Legal Entity Managers on the status of reconciliations/accounting performed and escalate problems as appropriate.
Utilize disciplinary knowledge and basic understanding of related areas to resolve issues impacting own area.
Assess applicability of previous experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Requirements
Basic level experience in accounting management (combination of education/experience).
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
Good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems used in carrying out assigned tasks.
Basic understanding of underlying accounting concepts and principles.
Good understanding of how the team interacts with others to accomplish objectives.
Ability to exchange information in a concise and logical way and be sensitive to audience diversity.
Ability to make evaluative judgements based on analysis of factual information and apply precedents to resolve problems.
Familiarity with accounting reconciliations, general ledger updates, and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Adherence to key controls for accounting processes and ability to escalate issues as appropriate.
